The Untold Story

This dead homeless man tricked Adolf Hitler into moving thousands of troops to the wrong place.

British intelligence officer Ewen Montagu gave him a fake identity, a Royal Marine major, complete with love letters and even an overdraft notice.

A submarine crew released his body off the coast of Spain, chained to a briefcase full of fake invasion plans.

Spanish authorities passed the documents to German intelligence. Hitler reinforced the wrong location, and the real invasion of Sicily succeeded with far fewer casualties.
